Our clients have the confidence that when things need to come together, they’ll be able to deliver.

United Machinist’s ISO:9001 Accredited CNC machine shop provides precision machined components for aerospace, electronics, automotive, medical and marine applications.

For mission critical components exceptional quality is simply permission to play. What sets us apart is our business innovation. Our second-generation owner operators Alex & Sarah Ramsay are on a mission to create the ‘Machine shop of the Future’.

  • Machining Certainty – by embracing data and automation, we can provide clients with real time visibility of their production progress via their own secure weblink and detailed traceable inspection reporting.

  • Machining Possibilities – We use advanced technology to manufacture world leading products. Our capabilities include 24/7 unmanned 5 axis production, additive manufacturing, robotic automation and in-house anodising.

  • Machining Futures – through our culture we’ve removed key person risk and ensured that we have no issues attracting top talent when we need it. We’ve developed a diverse and multi-disciplined team across programming, setting, inspection, automation and management.

United Machinist’s entire operation has been designed to deliver consistency, production visibility and on time delivery - so our clients have the confidence that when things need to come together, they’ll be able to deliver.

Our biggest point of difference is our attitude. We are big on purpose and culture. We believe customers will have the very best quality and experience if our team really believe in, feel part of and enjoy what they are doing – our purpose is to lead the renaissance of manufacturing in New Zealand.

Our Country is seen as an incubator of high-tech ideas, but without a manufacturing backbone that’s sustainable all these ideas are going to go offshore for production. What does that mean for the future of work? Not everyone is born to be a programmer, we want youth in our community to have taking up the trade as a career goal. Because who wouldn’t want to make camera gear for the set of X-Men in Canada, propulsion jet Units bound for the Yukon Delta, or life changing and world leading prosthetic hands.

The craft and passion in our trade is inspiring, but our workforce is literally dying – we want to help change the narrative from one that says there is no future in manufacturing, to one where NZ doing manufacturing better, is the future.
